http is dead. long live httpS!

Secure, SSL Encryption on websites is now the standard. Google penalizes non-ssl websites in search results, and rewards those that are ssl (sites that begin with httpS).

A little green padlock icon appears in the left of the browser address line, and the site is pronounced “SECURE”. On websites that have any sort of form submission, and particularly on ecommerce websites, users look for it, and will tend to shy away when it’s absent.

But what is it?

SSL and Secure Certificates provide security for your website by encrypting communications between the server and the person visiting the website. SSL encoded websites are less vulnerable to malicious attack, and SSL helps protect your information from being intercepted, when typed into a website that has SSL encryption.

Every site we build is SSL from the ground up. Because secure is just the right way to build. We can install your secure certificate, and re-code your site for SSL, usually on the same day you order it.

It’s time to up your game. We can help.
